Castile soap is an olive oil based soap that is made free of animal fats and synthetic ingredients. It originated in the Castile region of Spain around the 16th century and is not only environmentally friendly but also incredibly effective for many uses. While many Castile Soaps have evolved to include other plant-based oils, Brittanie’s Thyme still uses olive oil as its main ingredient.
